Big rewards. \nExcessive sugar consumption can lead to a range of negative health consequences\, including weight gain\, increased risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease\, and potential links to depression\, fatty liver disease\, and even cognitive decline. Added refined sugars\, in particular\, are a major concern as they contribute to these issues without providing significant nutritional value. \nTable sugar\, High Fructose Corn Syrup\, and other forms of processed sugars provide fructose\, which in excess has detrimental effects on: \n\nbrain (neurostimulant\, addictive behaviour)\,\nliver (fatty liver\, inflammation\, uric acid generation)\,\nkidney (renal vasoconstriction\, inflammation)\,\nvasculature (inflammation\, endothelial dysfunction)\, and\nadipocyte (oxidative stress\, inflammation).\n\nWe know this.
