SUMMARY:Listening from the Heart
DESCRIPTION:Listening creates a holy silence. When you listen generously to people\, they can hear the truth in themselves\, often for the first time. And in the silence of listening\, you can know yourself in everyone. Eventually\, you may be able to hear\, in everyone and beyond everyone\, the unseen singing softly to itself and to you. \nRachel Naomi Remen\, MD \nBut listening is easier said than done. It is simpler to advise\, solve\, question\, sympathise or even dismiss. Why? Because that’s what we have learned from observation and the quality of listening we have experienced. Very few of us have seen models of true listening. \nIf you want to create an authentic connection\, listening is a reliable and powerful skill to master. Listening creates a sacred space where the speaker can hear her inner voice\, connect to her needs\, and find answers that serve her. \nIf you want to create such an experience for others and co-create a better world\, join the workshop. \nIn the workshop\, you will: \n\npractice PRESENCE\nlearn what not to do to be a good listener\nreflect on your patterns and responses\n\nWe will use methods drawn from psychodrama\, nonviolent communication\, and psycho-spiritual work for this exploration. \nWhen: 14 Aug\, Thursday\, 7-8.30 PM IST \nFee: Pay as you wish \nSome guidelines for the workshop: \n\nVideos must be on.\nJoin 5 minutes early. No entry after 7.05 pm.\nKeep a pen and paper handy.\nRecording will not be provided.\n\nAbout the Coach: \nMonica is a certified Psychodrama Coach Practitioner. She offers in-person and online personal coaching using psychodrama\, psycho-spiritual work\, and nonviolent communication as therapeutic methods. She also conducts online and in-person group workshops for mental health\, human relations and social wellbeing. She is the co-founder of the holistic health company\, Poshak Life. More here.

SUMMARY:From Willpower to Dil-Power - Online Actio-based Group Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Thank God it’s Friday! Monday blues! How did these terms come about? What makes people dislike their routines through the weekdays so much? Is it that the work is boring\, tedious or overwhelming? \nWe also hear these adages from our elders – “Life is a compromise!” or “Childhood is golden\, adult life is full of responsibility (and therefore sad)” or “Ab kya karein? (What to do (in reference to life events?).” Is it any wonder that many of us drift through life with an underlying sense of powerlessness and hopelessness? \nDo you say Yes first and then feel burdened? \nDo you believe that you don’t have a choice? \nAutonomy (being independent and self-directed) and agency (making choices) are universal human needs. When these needs are not met\, we rely on the human “superpower” to get by – WILLPOWER! \nWillpower helps us achieve our tasks and goals. And it relies on self-control and determination\, as well as motivation. Willpower though is a finite resource. When it runs out\, we expereince “ego depletion” – a state where impaired self-control (after long use) negatively impacts task performance\, pretty much like a tired muscle. \nBut where willpower combines with Dil- Power – we hit the jackpot! \nDil power or the power of love is rooted in self-compassion\, social support\, and intrinsic motivation. It is gentle and nurturing. It is no less effective in achieving goals while allowing goalposts to shift. \nThese forces are not necessarily opposing. Willpower\, when fueled by dil-power\, enables sustained growth and regeneration. And dil-power transforms to willpower ever so often\, but with clarity and intention. \nWhat will be explored in this workshop? \nIn this workshop\, we will explore what it would look like to shift from extrinsic to intrinsic motivation\, temper self-control with self-compassion\, allow space for detours\, and nurture support and connection. \nWe will use action-based methods from psychodrama\, nonviolent communication practices\, and psychospiritual activities to: \n\nobserve the impact of these two driving forces in your life\,\nexplore your leaning towards either\,\nexplore how self-compassion strengthens willpower\, and\ndevelop personal strategies to harness both forces.\n\nWho is this workshop for? \nIn my opinion\, anybody. We all swing from willpower to dil-power and back. \nHowever\, if you resonate with the role of the tired worker or homemaker or the one who says Yes and then has second thoughts or find yourself getting stressed during tasks and drained after they’re done\, this workshop is especially for you. \nWhen \n31 Aug’25\, Sunday\n9.00 AM to 1.00 PM \nWhere \nZOOM \nWhat can change for you? \nWhen there is group cohesion and safety\, every group member receives what they need to progress towards their goal. While the individual growth may vary for each member\, you will: \n\nDevelop a stronger connection with yourself\nBe more confident in asking and receiving help\nPerceive difficulties differently\nNotice possibilities versus stuckness\nExperience kinship and support\n\nHow can you join? \nBook your spot by paying the fee of ₹1499/-. \nOR \nMessage me on WhatsApp at +91 90198 11807 if the workshop appeals to you strongly but you need financial support. \nAbout the coach: \nMonica is a certified Psychodrama Coach Practitioner. She offers in-person and online personal coaching using psychodrama\, neuro-linguistic programming\, psycho-spiritual work\, and nonviolent communication as therapeutic methods. She also conducts online and in-person group workshops for mental health\, human relations and social wellbeing. She is the co-founder of the holistic health company\, Poshak Life. \n
