And in the silence of listening, you can know yourself in everyone. Eventually, you may be able to hear, in everyone and beyond everyone, the unseen singing softly to itself and to you.

But listening is easier said than done. It is simpler to advise, solve, question, sympathise or even dismiss. Why? Because that’s what we have learned from observation and the quality of listening we have experienced. Very few of us have seen models of true listening.
